2025 International Conference on Societies of Opportunity

2025_ICSO_Poster

The Singapore Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and the National University of Singapore’s Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) will be holding the inaugural 2025 International Conference on Societies of Opportunity (ICSO 2025) at the Marina Bay Sands from 29 - 30 April 2025.

The ICSO is a platform for international policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas on how to create access to opportunities so as to foster social mobility. Social mobility, especially for disadvantaged groups, allows members of society to participate in its economic growth and progress, which is crucial in maintaining social cohesion and economic vitality.

The 1.5 day conference will examine the importance of effective policies and programmes that empower individuals and their families to achieve their potential. It will include keynotes by renowned international speakers and local experts as well as a series of plenary sessions that consider the respective roles that government, corporates, community, and philanthropic groups can play in building economic, human, and social capital.
