Job Scope and Objectives

This management role is responsible for planning and executing Trade Education Program initiatives aimed at transforming how industry, academia and philanthropy work together for executive talent development in the export trade sector worldwide. Skills in project management, stakeholder outreach, marketing and communications are essential to success.

 

The Trade Education Program Manager will be the driving force of the Hinrich Foundation’s trade education program, mandated to execute and enhance initiatives by engaging with internal parties and external students, universities, educators, industries, philanthropists and vendors. Key program initiatives include:

 

  • Driving global uptake of the Hinrich Foundation Guide to Master’s in International Business and Trade
  • Increasing the use of our trade research and experiential learning materials by trade educators and students worldwide through our website and outreach
  • Engaging with industry and philanthropists to develop global trade-related master’s scholarships
  • Cultivating a network of scholars dedicated to global trade and strengthening the Hinrich Foundation’s global trade leader community.


The role is based full-time at the Hinrich Foundation Centre Singapore and reports to the Program Director of the Trade Education Program. The Trade Education team includes marketing specialists and administration support. The Foundation’s International Trade Research Program provides weekly trade content that supports the Trade Education Program’s outreach and initiatives.

 

The role would suit an individual with extensive experience in university advancement, career development, sales in the higher education space or a human resources professional involved in the higher education or trade sectors. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Advance the Hinrich Foundation Guide to Master’s in International Business and Trade

    The goal the Hinrich Foundation Guide to Master’s in International Business and Trade is to assist aspiring students wishing to accelerate their global trade careers to identify the best master’s programs in international business and trade that meet their needs. The first edition of the Hinrich Foundation Guide was launched in July 2024 and will evolve over time. The Hinrich Foundation Guide has an ongoing marketing campaign to reach global audiences with engagement KPIs.

  2. Academic community engagement

    The goal is to help a growing community of trade educators to enhance the teaching of contemporary global trade in universities through regular communication (eDMs and tailored content) to encourage the use of our trade resources by academics and students.

  3. Employer & philanthropist partnerships for master’s scholarships & career advancement

    The goal is to support trade employers in developing and sourcing talent for their businesses, and to engage philanthropists in offering scholarships to the exemplary programs we have identified in the Hinrich Foundation Guide to Master’s in International Business and Trade, particularly for candidates from developing economies.

  4. Marketing & events

    Lead the marketing and communications of trade education programs to achieve stated targets in a professional manner across social and traditional media, PR, internal and external events, Hinrich Foundation website content, articles, white papers, infographics, videos and so on.

  5. Monitoring, evaluation & reporting

    Deliver detailed, comprehensive tracking across all program areas and conduct insightful analysis to professionally manage, market, and expand programs, stakeholders and impact.

     

    Qualifications & Educational Requirement

    • Minimum, bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism or education
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, social media platforms and customer relationship management software

    Experience Required

    • Minimum 15 years’ work experience, including 8 years in the higher education sector
    • Track record of employer outreach and engagement, gained from within a higher education institution, recruitment environment or philanthropic organization
    • Experience with philanthropist outreach an advantage
    • Professional marketing and communications copywriting expertise
    • Demonstrated experience in executing and managing content creation and outreach programs
    • Experience and interest in using digital and social media to disseminate thought leadership content
    • Project management leadership skills working with local and remote stakeholders
    • Recent reference checks will be conducted with two previous supervisors

Remuneration & Benefits

Location            Clarke Quay, Singapore

Probation          3 months

Base salary   Commensurate with experience CPF                      As required by regulations
