About Periscope Global Advisory

Periscope Global Advisory (Periscope GA) is a public affairs and policy advisory firm focused on digital competition, platform regulation, and emerging technology policy across Asia Pacific. We work with companies navigating complex regulatory environments, helping them engage meaningfully with governments, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

We operate lean but think big—relying on sharp research, resourcefulness, and strong regional intelligence to support clients. We value deep literacy in APAC affairs, appreciate the nuances of local markets, and believe that policy insight is strongest when informed by on-the-ground realities.

The Role

As we grow, we're looking for a Public Policy Analyst to help drive our shape our regulatory analysis, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy efforts. If you thrive on making sense of complex issues, enjoy connecting dots across markets, and can think on your feet, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industry Coordination & Engagement – Support and facilitate discussions within an industry working group, ensuring seamless communication and follow-ups with stakeholders across APAC.
  • Stakeholder Mapping & Relationship Management – Identify and engage policymakers, regulators, and corporate affairs teams, cultivating a strong network of allies.
  • Research & Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) – Gather and analyse public data, policy papers, government releases, and local sources to inform advocacy efforts and industry positioning.
  • Regulatory & Policy Analysis – Track and break down developments in digital competition, platform governance, AI regulation, and cross-border data flows, turning them into concise, actionable insights.
  • Advocacy & Campaign Strategy – Develop engagement plans, policy positioning, and public affairs strategies that align with industry and regulatory priorities.
  • Government Affairs & Corporate Strategy – Provide strategic advisory, risk assessments, and regulatory intelligence to clients operating in the region.
  • Event & Meeting Management – Coordinate roundtables, policy discussions, and working group meetings across markets.
  • Strategic Communications – Draft position papers, stakeholder briefing notes, talking points, and presentations that cut through the noise.

Who We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in public affairs, policy research, corporate affairs, consulting, or government relations (internship experience counts).
  • Bachelor’s degree required in political science, public policy, law, international relations, economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong research skills—you can find, verify, and synthesise complex information efficiently, including using OSINT techniques.
  • Prior exposure to digital platform regulation, competition policy, or technology policy is a strong plus.
  • A regional thinker—you are curious about APAC regulatory affairs and understand how policy varies across markets.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to connect dots between policy trends, government actions, and industry shifts.
  • Comfortable engaging with colleagues and stakeholders across APAC—whether it's breaking down a policy issue in Bangkok, New Delhi, or Seoul.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills—able to distill complex regulatory and policy issues into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Self-directed, comfortable working in a fast-moving, lean team where autonomy and initiative matter.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of an ambitious, independent consultancy shaping public policy across APAC.
  • Work on high-impact regulatory issues that matter to businesses and governments.
  • Gain regional exposure, working with industry leaders and policymakers.
  • A fast-moving, flexible environment with opportunities to grow and lead.
  • Hybrid work setup, with a mix of remote and in-person engagement.
