The MVERS project aims to create an innovative scoring system to measure economic risk within blockchain protocol ecosystems, enhancing economic stability and health understanding. Recognized by IEEE, ITU, and global associations, MVERS will be crucial for centralized exchanges to assess risk before listing tokens.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in economics, a keen interest in Web3 technologies, and a deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals. As a Senior Researcher, you will lead a team of researchers in conducting comprehensive studies, developing frameworks, and analysing data to create an economic framework for identifying risks in token economies within the Web3 industry. This is a contract position with the potential to extend to a full-time role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of researchers in conducting thorough literature reviews, creating frameworks, writing articles, and conducting data analytics in the field of Web3 Economics.
- Apply economic principles to the Web3 ecosystem and contribute expertise and best practices in understanding the economic dynamics of various protocols that include, but are not limited to, decentralized finance (DeFi), infrastructure, stable coins, and other relevant areas.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, providing support and knowledge transfer to enhance their research capabilities.
- Conduct and lead research on multiple areas within the Web3 industry, identifying and addressing economic risks associated with token economies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including economists, developers, and product managers, to provide economic insights and contribute to the design and development of Web3 products and services.
- Stay up to date with the latest research, industry trends, and regulatory developments in Web3 and blockchain economics, continuously expanding knowledge and expertise in the field.
- Present research findings, frameworks, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external audiences, such as conferences or academic publications.
- Contribute to the development of research methodologies and innovative approaches to advance the understanding of Web3 economics.
- Singaporean citizen or PR preferred. Exceptions made for outstanding foreign students
Qualifications
- Strong economics background (current PhD students in Economics is preferred, or Master’s student with strong background in economic research) and has keen research interest focused on topics related to Web3, blockchain, or decentralized systems.
