About the Tech for Good Institute
The Tech for Good Institute (TFGI) is a non-profit organisation working to leverage the promise of technology and the digital economy for inclusive, equitable and sustainable growth in Southeast Asia. The Institute is seed-funded by Grab to advance the vision of a thriving, innovative Southeast Asia for all.
The Day-to-Day Activities:
- Work with the TFGI Programme Manager to develop and execute research programmes for the institute, including conceptualising, initiating and undertaking research activities, such as supporting research and landscape analysis on social and economic issues accelerated by technology and tech-enabled business models in Southeast Asia
- Support the TFGI Programme manager in data collection, data management and data analysis
- Develop first cut of research data e.g. through desktop research, data analysis needed for TFGI’s upcoming research works
- Support on strategy development for research engagements, including panel discussions, community conversations and dialogues
- Help draft research materials and shareable content e.g. slides, concept notes, message house for sharing to relevant stakeholders for amplification of completed research
- Provide support to other day-to-day activities
The Must-Haves:
- Knowledge of and/or interest in on social and economic issues accelerated by tech-enabled business models in Southeast Asia
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Quantitative skills is an advantage
- Experience in research using various indices is an advantage
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Published articles and journals is an advantage
- Must have a strong self-starter and proactive attitude, with the ability to work through constraints and deliver high-quality results
- Must be comfortable working under pressure and can execute in a fast-paced environment
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Passionate about making a positive impact in Southeast Asia
