Summary

SHEIN’s Government Relations (GR) team is looking to bring onboard high-potential, self-motivated and driven undergraduate or graduate students. Based in Singapore, the global GR team is responsible for driving SHEIN’s strategy and engagement with government and public stakeholders across key international markets. Our interns will join the global GR team to support the team in the research and analysis of major political/policy developments, as well as the planning and execution of key new initiatives and events. Interns should possess a deep interest in understanding how politics, business, finance, sustainability, technology and innovation, as well as international relations are interconnected.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Support research and strategy implementation for GR-related initiatives:

  • Track, monitor and provide assessment of strategic/policy issues and their implications to SHEIN’s commercial interests, including recommendations on public policy positions
  • Identify and map key policy stakeholders (including political office holders, government officials, regulators, international organisations, non- governmental organisations and industry associations) in focused global markets
  • Coordinate and work with other SHEIN teams to develop and execute GR- related plans and initiatives

    Support strategic communications and outreach to strategic stakeholders:

  • Develop engagement strategies to build strategic relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders relevant to SHEIN
  • Support the organisation of events/meetings with external parties, ranging from the preparation of briefing documents/presentations to administrative details
  • Coordinate with external partners, if necessary, to execute on strategic partnerships and events

    Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate student in any of the following fields: International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics, Social Science, Mass Communications, or other relevant courses
  • Knowledge in international relations, technology and international trade policy, or sustainability
  • Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong self-starter and proactive attitude, with the ability to work through constraints and deliver high-quality results
