About the job
The Gender and Social Inclusion Expert will perform the following tasks:
• Understand ADB’s Policy on Gender and Development (GAD), ADB’s Guidelines for Gender Mainstreaming
Categories of ADB Projects, CIF’s Gender Policy and other related institutional document that is
relevant to ADB and CIF’s work on gender and social inclusion.
• Work with ADB CIF team and ADB CIF Gender focal point in reviewing all project proposals and ensuring
appropriate gender analysis are included in the proposal which will enable the team to respond to the
CIF Gender indicators required in the CIF Collaboration Hub (CCH).
• Be familiar with the CCH and its gender platform and ensure that ADB projects respond to the required
CCH information on gender analysis, gender activities, and gender indicators/gender results at project
design, implementation, and towards project closure and subsequent review.
• Work with the gender focal points of project teams when responding to the comments of CIF Secretariat’
s Gender team on project proposals and/or investment plan.
• Evaluate all relevant gender-related documents shared by CIF for review and, where appropriate,
provide inputs in the development of CIF’s Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Gender and Social Inclusion Strategy
and Action Plan.
• Review project documents of the ADB CIF portfolio and ensure that gender and social inclusion-related
achievements will be reported to CIF.
• Participate in the discussions and meetings of the CIF MDB Gender Focal Points Working Group and
report back to the ADB CIF team.
• Participate in ADB CIF team’s regular team meetings.
• Work with ADB CIF communications and knowledge management consultant in drafting and finalizing
impactful gender stories from the ADB CIF portfolio.
• Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by designated officers.
