Akshita Nanda (MIA 2021) was named a co-winner of the 2020 Singapore Literature Prize for English fiction for her debut novel Nimita's Place, along with writer Ng Yi-Sheng for Lion City. It is the first time in the 28-year history of the prize that two top winners were named in this category.
