The Eighth Japan-Singapore Symposium

The Eighth Japan-Singapore Symposium (JSS) will be held in Singapore from 25 to 26 April 2011. JSS was launched in 1994 by then Prime Minister of Japan, Mr Murayama Tomiichi and former Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Goh Chok Tong. The meeting has been held biennially since 1995. JSS provides representatives of different sectors from the two countries with an opportunity to exchange views on issues of mutual interest, and help foster closer ties between the two countries.

The Institute of Policy Studies and the Japan Forum on International Relations, Inc. (JFIR) are co-organising a public forum on the occasion of the 8th Japan-Singapore Symposium (JSS). Highlights of the JSS will be presented and discussed at this forum.
