8月17日晚，新加坡驻华大使罗家良应邀与新加坡国立大学李光耀公共政策学院上海校友举行见面交流会。新加坡驻沪总领事罗德伟、新加坡驻沪副总领事王宗翰、新加坡驻华大使馆一等秘书郑远杰、上海市欧美同学会常务副会长左学金、上海市欧美同学会副会长兼秘书长朱玲玲、李光耀公共政策学院上海校友会会长季晓烨等出席。见面交流会由新加坡国立大学上海校友会会长、李光耀公共政策学院上海校友会副会长、绿地金融控股集团董事长、总裁耿靖主持。李光耀公共政策学院和新加坡国立大学商学院、法学院等兄弟学院校友30余人参加，上海新加坡商会负责人应邀出席。
罗家良大使就“中新关系的历史和未来”作了演讲。他简要回顾了中新两国关系的历史，介绍了新加坡在中国的投资项目。他说，新加坡已经成为中国最大的外资来源国，也是中国首个人民币海外清算中心，新加坡欢迎并支持中国“一带一路”倡议，是亚投行首批21个创始成员国之一，相信中新关系未来能稳定发展。罗家良大使也是新加坡国立大学校友，他热情地与校友们互动交流，坦诚回答了一些热点问题，并希望校友们继续发挥好“民间大使”的作用。
最后，左学金代表上海市欧美同学会讲话，他简要介绍了欧美同学会的情况。他表示，欧美同学会将继续发挥“民间外交生力军”作用，通过校友会促进中新友好交流与合作。

Singapore Ambassador to China Met with LKYSPP Alumni in Shanghai
Mr. Loh Ka Leung, Singapore Ambassador to China met with LKYSPP alumni and other NUS Shanghai Alumni on 17 August 2017 in Shanghai. Ambassador Loh Ka Leung gave a speech on “History and Future of Singapore-China Relations”. He briefly touched on the history of Singapore-China Relations and introduced Singapore’s investment projects in China. He believed that Singapore-China relations would develop steadily in the future.
Being an NUS alumnus himself, Ambassador Loh Ka Leung also communicated warmly with alumni and answered their questions candidly. Mr. Zuo Xuejin, Executive Vice-President of Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA) also gave a short speech on behalf of SORSA. He introduced SORSA briefly, and said that SORSA will continue to promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between Singapore and China through the Shanghai alumni chapter.
Other distinguished guests such as Mr. Loh Tuck Wai, Consul General of Singapore in Shanghai, Mr. Zuo Xuejin, Executive Vice-President of SORSA, Ms. Zhu Lingling, Vice-President and Secretary-General of SORSA, Mr. Ji Xiaoye, President of LKYSPP Shanghai Alumni Chapter, Mr. Philip Ong, Deputy Consul General of Singapore in Shanghai, Mr. Zheng Yuanjie, First Secretary (Political), Singapore Embassy in Beijing, attended the meeting. Mr. Geng Jing, President of NUS Shanghai Alumni Chapter and Vice President of LKYSPP Shanghai Alumni Chapter, chaired the meeting. Around 30 NUS Chinese Alumni and 3 guests from Shanghai Singapore Business Association attended the event.
