Multilateralism fights back: the Paris Peace Forum and the quest to save globalization

The challenges the world faces – climate change, terrorism, migration, cyber insecurity… - ignore borders. Addressing them requires international cooperation and collective action. As countries are competing hard and turning inward, populism is raising and inequalities are widening, the Paris Peace Forum seeks to contribute to bridging the governance gap. Bringing together all stakeholders (states, organizations, NGO, companies, foundations…) this open initiative aims at pushing forward new rules and concrete practical solutions. For its 2nd edition (11-13 November), the Forum will identify projects and initiatives in a wide range of areas - peace and security, development, environment, new technologies, inclusive economy, culture and education.

The purpose of the conference will be to take stock on the achievements of the first Paris Peace Forum and to discuss about the forthcoming expectations of its new edition. Initiatives and innovative solutions on smart city, digital, artificial intelligence and technologies will be further examined as Singapore has submitted its “Singapore’s Approach to Human-Centric AI”

This event is held in partnership with SciencesPo, and supported by the French Embassy in Singapore and USPC-NUS.

There will be a reception after the event.
