By advancing the teaching and understanding of cross-border trade, we aim to develop human capital to drive mutually beneficial and sustainable global trade. We focus our programs on supporting students passionate about careers in global trade, professionals seeking master’s-level trade education, trade employers, educators, universities and other like-minded organizations.
We do this through innovate initiatives, including publishing master’s-program information and trade education materials, offering experiential learning simulations, partnering with industry and philanthropists to offer scholarships in graduate-level education, and lifelong professional development to our growing Hinrich Foundation community.
Job Scope and Objectives
This management role is responsible for planning and executing Trade Education Program initiatives aimed at transforming how industry, academia and philanthropy work together for executive talent development in the export trade sector worldwide. Skills in project management, stakeholder outreach and program communications are essential to success.
The Trade Education Program Manager will be the driving force of the Hinrich Foundation’s trade education initiatives to execute and enhance initiatives, engage with internal parties and external students, universities, educators, industries, philanthropists and vendors. Key program initiatives include the Trade & Business Education Hub; increasing the use of our trade research and experiential learning materials by trade educators and students; and engagement with industry and philanthropists for global trade-related scholarships.
The role is based full-time at the Hinrich Foundation Centre Singapore and reports to the Program Director of the Trade Education Program. The Trade Education team includes marketing specialists and administration support. The Foundation’s International Trade Research Program provides weekly trade content that supports the Trade Education Program’s outreach and initiatives.
The role would suit an individual with extensive experience in university advancement, career development, sales in the higher education space or a human resources professional involved in the trade sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Develop and manage the Trade and Business Education Hub
The goal is to provide valuable information to individuals wishing to excel in global trade throughout their studies and careers. KPIs include database growth, social media engagement, website traffic metrics, newsletter subscriptions and content downloads across three core areas:
• Global Trade Graduate Programs: To assist trade professionals seeking upskilling and other prospective students to evaluate their graduate-level education options, through our publication of information about master’s programs focused on international trade and business.
• Student education content: To develop, engage and grow an active community of students who use our contemporary content for their in-class learning, using our global trade research products.
• Trade career & leadership content: To assist the next generation of business professionals to understand the diverse range of global trade jobs and career paths through online content and professional development resources.
B. Philanthropist & employer partnerships
The goal is to support trade employers in developing and sourcing talent for their businesses, and to attract philanthropists to offer scholarships in the graduate-level global trade programs we have identified, particularly in developing economies.
C. Academic community engagement
The goal is to help a growing community of trade educators to enhance the teaching of contemporary global trade in universities through regular communication (eDMs and tailored content) and encouraging the use of the Sustainable Trade Challenge, an experiential learning simulation.
D. Marketing & events
Lead the marketing and communications of trade education programs to achieve stated targets in a professional manner across social and traditional media, PR, internal and external events, Hinrich Foundation website content, articles, white papers, infographics and so on.
E. Monitoring, evaluation & reporting
Deliver detailed, comprehensive tracking across all program areas and conduct detailed analysis to professionally manage, market, and expand programs, stakeholders and impact.
Qualifications & Educational Requirement
• Minimum, bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism or education
• Proficiency in office applications and social media
Experience Required
• Minimum 10 years’ education sector work experience
• Experience with employer outreach, gained from within a higher education institution, recruitment environment or philanthropic organization
• Demonstrated experience in executing and managing content creation and outreach programs
• Experience and interest in using digital and social media to disseminate thought leadership ideas and content
• Project management skills
• Recent reference checks will be conducted with two previous supervisors
• Proficiency in using MS Office, advanced experience with MS Excel and MS Project

Base salary Commensurate with experience
