Meta is looking for a Policy Programs Manager to join our Asia-Pacific Policy Programs and Campaigns Team. As part of Meta’s Global Public Policy organization, the Programs team is responsible for demonstrating the value of our platform and the investments that we are making to keep people safe across the region. This team focuses on a range of areas including economic policy, safety and integrity, and innovation. You will develop and implement a thoughtful plan to craft and continue partnerships to address frauds and scams. This is an important issue that impacts all of industry and cross-sector partnerships are crucial. To date, Meta has worked with over 30 local partners in 15 countries across Asia Pacific on user education programs and the campaigns have a combined reach of more than 300 million people in the region. You will also build programs that equip small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to effectively use Meta technologies to grow their businesses. These programs should create opportunities to engage partners across the Asia Pacific region, deliver educational materials to SMEs on the value of Meta’s apps in enabling SMEs to grow and showcase inspirational case studies. As part of these programs, you will engage with policymakers and other key stakeholders on the value of Meta technologies for SMEs in the Asia Pacific region. You will also work closely with the policy, communications, marketing and research teams at the company. We are looking for a candidate who can come up with strategic, creative ways to address challenging issues, has great interpersonal and collaboration skills and possess exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously. Policy Programs Manager, Asia Pacific Responsibilities
Work across the Asia-Pacific Policy Campaigns and Programs team to define and build core programs and initiatives to enable our larger Public Policy and Policy Programs team in the field to communicate at scale with policy makers.
Lead policy and programmatic efforts on economic policy programs: program development and execution, research projects, partnership management, case study and collateral material development, general project planning and new programming opportunities.
Lead the creation of communications, educational and marketing materials.
Drive ideation, creation and production of events, program elements and collateral materials across a range of subject areas for different countries in the region.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Communications, Marketing, English, or related field
7+ years of work experience in the areas of public policy, public affairs or international development.
Experience deploying projects across multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region
Experience drafting internal and external material communicating policy issues
Experience with project management and attention to detail
Experience leading on multi-market economic research projects
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build successful relationships based on collaboration
Experience prioritizing high-priority projects simultaneously
Experience working with all levels of seniority, both internally and externally
Strategic thinker and creative
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with policy programs or public affairs
Experience working with small and medium enterprises in the APAC region
Business level proficiency in an APAC regional language is an added advantage as this role has regional scope and deal with in-country partners.
