About the Milken Institute and the Singapore Internship Program

The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank determined to increase global prosperity by advancing collaborative solutions that widen access to capital, create jobs, and improve health. The Milken Institute Singapore Internship Program, in partnership with Partners Group, aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the issues that shape the global agenda as they enter the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, or philanthropic sectors. We create a customized experience for each intern, which is tailored to their interest area and career trajectory as well as emphasizes their professional and personal development. This experience includes opportunities to:

  • Interact with high-level business leaders, policy-makers, and academic experts as part of our “Global Leaders Speaker Series”
  • Meet and work with the Milken Institute’s global network of senior executives
  • Learn from senior leaders at the Milken Institute and Partners Group

Key Responsibilities

  • The Research Intern would participate in projects including but not limited to topics on health, ESG/sustainability, technology, and finance in Asia.
  • The Research Intern may also be required to work on other tasks that the Asia Center focuses on. The work aims to provide guidance to policymakers, business leaders, and investors in the region.
  • She/he will support the projects by organizing outreach for workshops/meetings, as well as conducting primary and secondary research to produce literature reviews, write-ups, and sections of papers/reports. She/he will report to and work closely with the Associate Director for Policy & Programs at the Asia Center.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should have excellent written and spoken English, good analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural environment.
  • Fluency in Asian languages is a plus.
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a degree program related to public health, finance, public policy or related fields. Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate is preferred.
  • Singaporean national is preferred.

Internship Duration

We offer a 6 to 12-month internship with flexibility on the dates. Flexible working arrangements can be made for those enrolled in full-time degree programs.
