PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Impacts and Assurance Associate is responsible for supporting the development of technical tools and processes at the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) to drive sustainability in the natural rubber industry. This role will support key GPSNR processes including review of members’ policies, management of the Reporting Requirements platform, and facilitating processes developed under the assurance model. In addition, the role will support grant management and reporting for GPSNR’s capacity building activities.

Founded in 2019, the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber is an international, multistakeholder, voluntary membership organisation, with a mission to lead improvements in the socioeconomic and environmental performance of the natural rubber value chain. GPSNR currently has 250+ members which represents over 55% of global natural rubber volume.

ABOUT YOU
You’re passionate about creating positive impact in an important tropical commodity and are keen to work with a diverse range of external stakeholders. You understand the roles that different actors play in creating systemic change and can communicate effectively with businesses, NGOs, and farmers. You work well independently, are adaptable to changing conditions, and can collaborate effectively with team members.

You’re an effective communicator who can foster strong relationships and nurture collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups. You are also detailed and meticulous and can study company reporting and documents closely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following: Engage and support members to ensure they comply with key GPSNR requirements including the Policy Framework, Reporting Requirements, and other processes under the Assurance Model.

Managing GPSNR’s assurance and verification systems

Facilitate development of the platform’s processes and technical tools. These developments often take place through multi-stakeholder meetings and will require you to prepare meeting agendas, draft minutes, and facilitate meetings.

Work with the CRM department to clean and analyse data submitted through the GPSNR Reporting Requirements to identify opportunities for reporting improvements

Work with the Communications department to craft communications about the platform’s progress and latest developments

Develop strategic roadmaps to effectively advance the platform’s mission

Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

The ability to review documents meticulously and work with detailed information

Comfort with learning and working independently, including developing strategies with limited information and prioritising tasks in a dynamic environment

The ability to work effectively in teams of different compositions and sizes, and the flexibility to adapt to different communication and working styles across different teams

Initiative to develop strategies, procedures, and document templates that support the platform’s work

High level of emotional intelligence with good interpersonal communication skills

ADVANTAGEOUS COMPETENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working on agricultural commodities or in related sustainability fields

Experience working within multi-stakeholder initiatives, assurance systems, or auditing processes

Experience with grant tracking and reporting

Familiarity with working in an international environment

Established communication and presentation skills

Proficiency in more than one language
