Andrew Francis-Tan is a senior lecturer at the LKY School of Public Policy. Previously, he was an associate professor of economics at Emory University. He received his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Chicago. Professor Francis-Tan engages in quantitative research in the fields of education, labor, and demography. His current research aims to understand patterns of inequality, public policies intended to empower vulnerable populations, and factors that influence social identities like race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and religion.
