Andy Francis-Tan is senior lecturer at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP). Previously, he was associate professor of economics at Emory University. He received his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Chicago. Andy engages in research and teaching in the areas of education, labor, and demography. His current research aims to understand patterns of inequality, public policies intended to empower vulnerable populations, and factors that influence social identities like race, gender, and religion.
