Research Assistant

Hazim Zulfadhli is a Research Assistant with IPS Social Lab at the Institute of Policy Studies. He holds a Master's Degree in Sociology and a Bachelor's Degree (with Honours) in Public Policy and Global Affairs with a second major in Sociology from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to joining PS, he has worked as a part-time research assistant at the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) and as a teaching assistant with NTU where he taught Gender and Society and received the award for Best Teaching Assistant in 2019. During his time in NTU, he wrote his thesis on the lived-experiences of Singaporeans in romantic interracial intimacies titled: Race and Romance in Singapore.


Research Interests
Cultural sociology, sociology of race and ethnicity, social inequalities, sociology of love, state-society relations, and classical and contemporary social theory.
