Akshay Agrawal is a Research Assistant at the Centre on Asia and Globalisation (CAG), Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore (NUS). Akshay graduated from College of Engineering Pune (COEP), India, in 2014 with Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. Akshay was the winner of the 2014 Institute’s Gold Medal for Academic Excellence at COEP. After working as an engineer for over a year at the Whirlpool Corporation, Akshay joined Department of Economics, National University of Singapore in 2015 to pursue the Master of Social Science in Applied Economics. He graduated with the highest honours and was awarded university’s Lim Chong Yah Gold Medal in 2017. Akshay’s research interests include International Economics, Financial Economics, International Corporate Finance, Indian Economy, and India’s Foreign Policy. Prior to joining CAG, Akshay interned at the Reserve Bank of India’s Department of Economic and Polic y Research.
