The inaugural run of the “Value Negotiation and Conflict Management” executive course took place on 7-9 September 2015. Mr. Nuno Delicado, an adjunct faculty of the LKY School who teaches the Negotiations module at the graduate-level classes, facilitated the programme. Seventeen (17) participants from Singapore, China, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and the United Kingdom attended this programme.
The course offered participants the critical skills in negotiating, influencing and managing conflict. Public sector leaders in particular, are deeply involved working with various stakeholders to implement policies and address various political, economic and socio-cultural issues, among many others. During the programme, they were stimulated by a series of engaging lectures, interactive exercises, role-paying simulations and reflections. The use of live case studies in class which highlighted examples of successful and failed negotiations added to the holistic learning of the participants.
Another run of the course is expected to be delivered on 29-31 August 2016. Interested participants can contact decb64_bGt5c3BwZXBAbnVzLmVkdS5zZw==_decb64 to receive future updates from this programme.
