IPS Post-Election Conference 2015

How have voter attitudes and political ideals shifted over time? What is the difference in perceptions of governance between PAP and non-PAP voters? How was the Internet and media used in GE2015? These were some of the questions discussed at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Post-Election Conference 2015 on 4 November 2015. Findings from three surveys were also released. Over 300 participants attended the conference, which featured a panel discussion with four political party representatives.

Book Launch of The Ocean in a Drop – Singapore: The Next Fifty Years

The 2014/15 S R Nathan Fellow for the Study of Singapore Ho Kwon Ping’s book was launched on 30 October. The Guest of Honour was none other than Mr S R Nathan himself. The Ocean in a Drop – Singapore: The Next Fifty Years is a compilation of the 2014/2015 IPS-Nathan Lecture Series and features highlights of the accompanying dialogues of the lectures.

Sneak Preview of Singapore Chronicles at Singapore Writers Festival

A panel discussion at the Singapore Writers Festival provided an exclusive preview of what to expect from the 50-volume Singapore Chronicles series. The series gives a comprehensive picture of Singapore as a whole — from milestones in its history, to aspects of the city-state’s governance, economy, environment, community and culture. The first 10 titles will be officially launched on 10 December 2015.
