Singapore Futures Youth Competition 2026

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy’s (LKYSPP) invites you to sign up for our annual Singapore Futures Youth Competition.

Centred on the theme of “Future of Youth’s Civic Contribution in Singapore”, we invite Singapore youth to imagine how they will shape the nation in 2050 through civic contribution and a strong united, people-first spirit. Inspired by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s call to build a “we first” society, we invite youth to see themselves as builders of a more caring, inclusive and resilient society in Singapore through civic initiatives such as volunteering, youth voice and action, and youth leadership. Join a community of like-minded youth to turn your passion into impact, speak up and co-create Singapore’s future together. Are you ready to shape the future?

The Singapore Futures Youth Competition 2026 is a 4-day in-person event from 16 to 19 June 2026. The competition begins with a 3-day futures thinking workshop run by LKYSPP faculty. Through this competition, you will be introduced to public policy challenges and the complexities of the policymaking process. You will learn the necessary tools and frameworks to build scenarios and present them to experts and leaders from the public and private sectors on the final day of the competition. You will also have opportunities to interact with your peers from an array of educational institutes, as well as network with leaders from the public and private sectors.

This competition will be held in person at the Bukit Timah Campus of the National University of Singapore. Participants will have the chance to win prizes worth up to $4,500, receive a certificate of participation and have opportunities to join LKYSPP’s network.
