Intern (Government Project)

Job Brief
The Chandler Governance Group (CGG) is looking for an Intern (Government Projects) to
support its projects with government partners around the world. This internship will provide the
successful applicant with a broad range of international experience in areas such as public policy and
services, national and economic development, communications and branding, and project
management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clearly defined research projects, with guidance from senior staff, in support of our
international work on enhancing governance and improving government effectiveness
- Prepare project materials, with close guidance from senior staff, to be used in our international
Government Projects work
- Assist in project execution, such as preparing conference materials, making logistical
arrangements and taking forward other tasks as required
- Work with external government partners on practical projects to improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of government structures, systems and policies
Time Commitment
- This internship can be performed on a full-time or part-time basis for a minimum period of 3
months.
- Full-time interns must commit to work for an average of 40 hours a week. Part-time interns are
required to work for a minimum of 15 hours a week.
- Responsibility, terms and renumeration will differ depending on the nature of the internship

Requirements
- Suitable qualifications in Political Science, Event Management, Project Management or related
fields
- Keen interest in governance and public policy issues
- Good situational awareness and respect for different cultures
- Strong desktop research skills
- Proficiency in presentation design using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong written communications skills
- Strong project management skills, and ability to work under time pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to think creatively when solving challenges
