The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) is a private diplomacy organisation founded on the
principles of humanity, impartiality and independence. Its mission is to help prevent, mitigate, and
resolve armed conflict through dialogue and mediation. HD is currently looking for an:
Intern – APAC
(Fixed-Term, Part-time, internship contract)
Location: Singapore
Start Date: March 2026
HD’s projects in Asia-Pacific (APAC) span eleven different time zones, and it is the organisation’s
most diverse portfolio. With its regional headquarters in Singapore and field offices in Thailand,
Myanmar and the Philippines, HD conducts discreet activities designed to mitigate and resolve
protracted conflicts in areas where political polarisation has generated violence. The intern will
support HD’s programmes in the region, with a specific focus on HD’s South Asia engagements, while
also supporting fundraising activities in the region.
The intern will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing project activities related to HD’s South Asia engagements.
- Contribute to the development of impact stories and social media content that highlight
HD’s work in Asia-Pacific.
- Support the activities of the HD Asia Peace Fund, covering HD’s ongoing fundraising
campaign and related events.
Daily activities include:
- Help coordinate logistics for regional dialogues and workshops, including travel
arrangements, venue bookings, and participant coordination.
- Conduct media monitoring and draft notes and public communication posts on key topics of
relevance to the team.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the Asia-Pacific program, including
attending meetings, taking notes, and assisting with various operational tasks.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Open to graduates or postgraduates from all disciplines (preferably in political affairs,
international relations, public relations, marketing and communications etc.) who are
currently completing/ have completed their degrees.
- Good writing and analytical skills.
- Experience in developing communication products using Canva, Photoshop, video editing
software etc. is an added advantage.
- Fluency in written and oral English is essential.
Candidates should be eligible to work in Singapore. The successful candidate is required to work
from the office once a week. Some international travel may be required.
