ASEAN Intern
Duration: 3-6 months
Location: Singapore (hybrid work possible)
The intern will support our policy research and regional monitoring work across Southeast Asia, with a focus on e-commerce, fintech, cryptocurrency, digital economy, and geopolitical developments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing weekly updates on digital economy developments in ASEAN, mainly Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia
- Writing one analytical policy blog per week on topics such as fintech, e-commerce, digital trade, cryptocurrency, digital assets, or ASEAN geopolitics
- Monitoring virtual meetings, webinars, and policy briefings hosted by regional business councils, policy forums, and industry associations
- Preparing concise briefs and summaries capturing key insights, policy implications, and stakeholder perspectives
- Supporting background research, comparative policy analysis, and tracking regulatory timelines across key ASEAN markets
Requirements
- Students or recent graduates with a strong interest in public policy, international relations, digital economy issues, fintech, or Southeast Asian political economy
- Strong written English, research skills, attention to detail
- The ability to work independently would be important.
