About The Programme

Professional Development Course on Communications (PDCC) is a new initiative by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) aimed at equipping students and professionals with essential communication skills for the workplace.

PDCC1: Fundamentals in Communications is the first of two standalone modules in the PDCC series. Participants may register for either module independently, without a requirement to complete them in sequence. However, those who complete both PDCC1 and PDCC2 will be awarded a Professional Certificate in Communications.

This course provides a strong foundation in personal, interpersonal and professional communication skills. Students will explore how their identity and experiences shape their communication, identify their preferred communication style, and build core skills in writing, speaking, and interpersonal interaction. Topics include writing with clarity and purpose, face-to-face communication, and navigating cross-cultural dynamics.

Highly interactive in design, PDCC 1 incorporates group work, case studies, and simulations to reinforce learning and build confidence. It is ideal for students preparing for internship or graduation, as well as professionals seeking to strengthen their core communication capabilities.

Please note that seats are limited, and acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close once capacity is reached.
