Futures Thinking is an approach that helps organisations and policymakers foresee how the world may look in the future due to decisions, actions and issues occurring in the present. The ability to think about the future enhances the capacity of decision-makers to anticipate change in complex environments, surface hidden assumptions, and uncover weaknesses and inflexibilities in their organisations.
In this run of Futures for Public Policy, we will deep dive into the Future of Work, envisioning future possibilities in the world of work and investigating the economic and social policy implications. By applying Futures Thinking to the world of work, we will explore potential scenarios facing workers, employers and society at large and examine the impact of these global trends on Singapore and beyond.
