Long journey before Beijing becomes a liveable city

Assoc Prof Tan Khee Giap, Mr Nie Tongxin and Ms Shinae Baek from the Asia Competitiveness Institute, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, examined the challenges that Beijing faces in becoming a liveable city, and opined that the Chinese government could reference global liveability rankings with discretion and adopt policies suitable to its local context in order to create liveable cities for its people
