The Institute of Water Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy has secured a S$5 million grant to conduct policy-relevant research for Singapore’s Public Utilities Board (PUB) over the next five years. The grant was formalised by Mr Ng Joo Hee, Chief Executive of the Public Utilities Board, Singapore's national water agency, and Professor Danny Quah, Dean and Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics, at an IWP Research Seminar on Monday, 7 May.

With this grant, IWP will contribute to PUB’s efforts to reduce water demand in Singapore through research on water consumption behaviour, industrial water use, and droughts, as well as benchmarking with other utilities and tariff modelling.
