The Power of Diversity: Decoding Racial Biases at the Workplace

Regardless of racial and/or ethnicity, everyone deserves to be valued, supported, and respected in their workplace. Our Power of Diversity programme is dedicated to creating diversity-ready environments, equipping teams with the knowledge and skills to thrive in multi-racial settings. Through this programme, participants gain practical tools and insights to enhance awareness, respect, and appreciation for diverse racial perspectives, and help cultivate an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated.

Participants emerge with a deepened understanding of workplace diversity and are better able to recognise their own biases and privileges. This workshop empowers individual to address insensitive behaviours as well. In doing so, participants also develop the skills needed to navigate challenging situations with cultural sensitivity.

Synopsis

Upon completion of the programme, participants will gain proficiency in the following areas:

  • Understand the power of diversity, particularly within the unique context of Singapore
  • Become aware of one’s own biases and privileges
  • Build emotional and cognitive empathy
  • Identify different kinds of RRIC-related issues/behaviours and understand their detrimental impact
  • Develop skills to navigate social and interfaith settings with cultural sensitivity and impartiality
  • Take concrete steps to become an ally of diversity and inclusion individually and within their community
