About The Programme

This programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills to address complex societal and policy challenges through behavior change strategies.

Participants will explore the integration of diverse disciplines such as psychology, economics, public policy, and behavioural insights to understand and influence societal and environmental behaviors.

Key topics include behaviour change theories, designing effective interventions, evaluating impact, and navigating policy landscapes. Through case studies and practical applications, participants will gain insights into applying interdisciplinary approaches to foster best practices and contribute to societal stewardship in various contexts.

SANDRA LIM, Regional President, Verian

Sandra Lim is the Regional President (Southeast Asia) at Verian. She has over two decades of expertise in policy and social research consulting. She specialises in senior-level advisory and training in research, behavioural change, communications, innovation, public engagement, programme evaluation and strategic planning within public policy, sustainability and social impact. She has held leadership roles in societies and teaching at academic institutions, serves on several boards and committees, and is an accredited board director, trainer, and facilitator.

Francesco Mancini, Vice Dean (Executive Education) and Associate Professor, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Francesco Mancini is Vice Dean (Executive Education) and Associate Professor in Practice at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He also serves as Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a Non-resident Senior Adviser at the International Peace Institute (IPI). Francesco is a member of the Board of Directors of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), a member of the Research Committee of the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP) in Sydney, Australia, an Honorary Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore’s Middle East Institute (MEI), an Associate Fellow at the Peace Informatics Lab of the Leiden University, Netherlands, and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Peacebuilding. Before joining the LKY School, Francesco was Senior Director of Research at the International Peace Institute (IPI) in New York, an independent, international think-tank devoted to the prevention and settlement of armed conflict.

Leong Ching, Professor and Vice Provost (Student Life), Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Leong Ching's work lies in making sense of apparently irrational environmental behavior, whether in refusal to use recycled water, underinvesting in water utilities, or decision making in building dams and managing rivers. She uses narratives, perceptions and stories to understand collective public behavior as well as environmental identities. Her field research is focused on water institutions and governance in Asia. Leong Ching has graduate degrees in philosophy, information technology and journalism. Before joining the university, she had a career in television and newspaper journalism.
