Brazilian public leaders understood the importance of foreseeing the future that they want to create and participate in through this programme. They also had the opportunity to work together and discuss alternatives for some of the post-covid challenges faced by the public sector today. The course was highly motivating and interactive, making an invaluable contribution to Brazil’s senior executives. We are certain that they can now better understand the complexity and tension between the different stakeholders in creating their desired future.

The programme was eye-opening as it gave participants with valuable insights into the changing political and economic development in Vietnam and the regions. It also gave them a great exposure to the Singapore’s experience and approaches to economic developments during the learning journey. We have reached many significant milestones. I am especially appreciative of their responsiveness and diligent response to our changing needs.

With the need to train our senior officers, the LKY School carefully designed and developed topics to equip them with the right skills set that will transform these future leaders so that they can contribute to building a smarter, more effective and responsible government. The emphasis on its SMART Nation visions and initiatives were very valuable for NBTC and the learning journey to various agencies in Singapore raised their awareness to the different strategic goals of Singapore. We look forward to continuing our longstanding partnership with the LKY School.

The most important takeaway was leaving with a different perspective and a broader outlook on the disruptive forces redefining financial policies. The content was current and delivered by well-prepared speakers who drew us into their sharing, with a focus on practical, real-life insights that really sets the programme apart. On top of that, the biggest gain had to be the personal one-on-ones with my peers who were richly experienced and highly diverse. The atmosphere was a lot more intimate than expected and that enabled us to share candidly on the challenges faced and views on where things were heading.

AFREP is an excellent programme, allowing financial regulators to network and exchange views on current issues and trends affecting global financial markets. Topics covered are wide ranging from public policy, economic reform to financial supervision and regulation at local and global levels.

We have established an on-going graduate teaching collaboration with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, which sees cohorts of high-aspiring public managers assemble each year in Singapore for intensive training sessions. The LKY team is always meticulous in planning, coordinating, and implementing this program with us.

The programme was well curated. A wide range of topics with sufficient depth in significant issues relevant to ASEAN financial regulator was covered. The concepts and regional experience shared will help us re-examine the analytical framework underpinning our macro-prudential surveillance policy to better identify and measure systematic risk.
