Political polarisation is fast becoming the defining issue of our generation. Public sector managers and policymakers need to develop a more precise understanding of workable solutions that can be implemented in a world marked by complexity and ambiguity.
Now in its 20th run, the Essentials of Policy Development course from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy combines research, theory, and practice. Participants will gain detailed foundational knowledge and theoretical frameworks of the policy development process, from conceptualising public policy to evaluating options and measuring outcomes and impact.
The learning format includes interactive lectures, discussions of policy case studies and facilitated group work to develop practical skills and techniques for immediate application in policy-related projects, or your organisation.
"Singapore is a great place to get public policy insights given its current state and position to compete with the biggest economies. The programme covered many topics delivered by top experienced lecturers ranging from complex thinking to data analysis and tackling modern issues. I learnt the importance of understanding the policy evaluation process and data analysis."
