Appointment: Faculty / Teaching
Organisation: Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy
The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore is seeking applicants for the Yong Pung How Professor at the full professor rank.
The Yong Pung How Professorship, endowed in 2008 by the Yong Shook Lin Trust, honours Mr Yong Pung How, Singapore’s Chief Justice from 1990 to 2006. Mr Yong also served as Chairman and CEO of the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation and held appointments with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Singapore Broadcasting Corporation. He was conferred Singapore’s highest award, the Order of Temasek (First Class), in 1999.
The Yong Pung How Professor will be a core member of the School’s academic leadership team, working with an interdisciplinary faculty to advance the research and teaching missions of the School. A research focus on Asia is a definite plus.
