Essay Question

What are the limitations and challenges of Singapore’s economic growth model? And what reforms and transformations do you think are required to overcome those limitations and challenges, particularly in terms of productivity and innovation?

Essay Competition Details

  • The closing date of the competition is 4 April 2016 (postponed from 4 March 2016). Entries sent after this date will not be eligible.
  • Essay should have a maximum of 2,000 words.
  • Competition is subjected to the LKY School’s Terms & Conditions found in the attachment below.

Small group discussion and workshop on 16th March 2016

There was a small discussion and workshop for students interested in the this topic and the essay competition. During the discussion, we also conveyed that we were not looking for specific points of view of correct answers from the essays, and that clarity of writing and coherence of logic would be the most important qualities of a good essay. Results of the essay competition

This first essay competition closed on Apr 4 2016. We received a total of 51 entries. Our judging panel was:
