IWP at the Singapore International Water Week

Renowned water governance expert and visiting professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Asit Biswas is strategic advisor to the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), a global platform to share and co-create innovative water solutions. Senior research fellow at IWP, Cecilia Tortajada, is also an advisor to the SIWW.

The biennial event gathers stakeholders from the global water industry to share best practices, showcase the latest technologies and tap business opportunities. SIWW is part of the strategic programme of the Singapore Government to grow the water industry and develop water technologies.

Every alternate year, SIWW Spotlight hosts an exclusive event for water utility leaders and global water professionals. The three-day programme brings together 200 of the world’s leaders in water, with the aim of optimising utility performance.

The Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) Spotlight 2017 on “Forging Alliances Amongst Water Utility Leaders” was held from 17 to 19 July 2017 in Singapore. The three-day programme saw over 220 water utility leaders and international water professionals from more than 30 countries and/or regions gathering in Singapore to address key utility challenges and shape the future of water.
