The Family Research Network (FRN) is an initiative to bring together a network of academics, researchers and policy-makers through a series of closed-door sessions to engage in regular discussions on family research. The FRN will be held about two to three times a year and is currently managed by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS).
The objectives of the FRN are:
-
To promote a multi-disciplinary approach and greater expertise on family research through sharing of new research findings and developments;
-
To identify new areas of research interests and facilitate research collaboration between government and the research communities; and
-
To develop a stronger research and evidence base for family policies.
The FRN is targeted at academics and researchers of local Institutes of Higher Learning and their affiliated research institutes, practitioners such as staff of voluntary welfare organisations, and policy-makers on family issues in Singapore.
Information on the FRN can be found on MSF' website: http://app.msf.gov.sg/ResearchRoom/ResearchConferencesForumsNetworks/FamilyResearchNetwork.aspx |
