Dr Dan Steinbock is Research Director of International Business at the India, China and America Institute (USA), and Fellow in Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (China), a leading think-tank, where he focuses on China, ASEAN, G20 and the new global political economy. He is the chief contributor of The Globalist (USA) on G-20 economies and global corporations. And he also contributes briefs to the Project Syndicate, the world's pre-eminent source of original op-ed commentaries, whose membership includes 442 leading newspapers in 150 countries.
Dr Steinbock is a Senior ASLA-Fulbright Scholar (New York University, Columbia Business School). He serves as Visiting Professor at the Shanghai Foreign Trade Institute and is in the high-level Guidance Group of the GeoBranding Center (CMO Council) dedicated to the marketing of countries, and locations worldwide. The interest communities of the CMO Council include over 20,000 global executives across nearly 100 countries. He also he has advisory tasks in 1to1 Magazine, Fortune, BusinessWeek, McKinsey Quarterly Online Executive Panel, African Journal of Business Management, and so on.
He has consulted for MNCs and SMEs, international organizations (OECD, EU, Nordic Council, Baltic Development Forum), cities (from Shanghai to Greater Helsinki) and governments. He divides his time between the U.S. (New York), Asia (Shanghai, Guangzhou), and occasionally Europe.
