Profile

Dr. Tomoo Kikuchi is a Senior Research Fellow at Centre on Asia and Globalisation, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore and a Guest Research Fellow at the Global Security Research Institute at Keio University. He was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the National University of Singapore (2007-2014) and a Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tufts University in 2011. He studied in Japan, Germany and the UK, and obtained his PhD in Economics from Bielefeld University in Germany. His research areas are International Economics, Financial Economics, and Economic Growth and Development. He has published in top economics journals such as Journal of Economic Theory and Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and he regularly contributes op-eds to newspapers such as the Straits Times and the Nikkei Asian Review.
