The Dean’s Fund is made up of gifts to the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy that are not designated for a specific purpose. Giving unrestricted financial support through a contribution to the Dean’s Fund allows the School the flexibility to allocate donations to the areas where they are most needed, such as:
- New programme initiatives
- Alumni and students’ activities
- Student fellowships
- Faculty research
- Research centres
- Honorariums to attract renowned speakers
- Recruitment of faculty
- Seed money for projects
- Staff welfare
- Facility improvements
- Student exchanges
In addition to scholarships, programmes and other initiatives, the Dean’s Fund allows the school to respond to unexpected opportunities or challenges as and when they arise.
Giving to The Dean’s Fund
All gifts by Singapore tax residents are eligible for a tax deduction. During 2011, the tax deduction is 2.5 times the amount of the gift. In addition, all gifts will enable the LKY School to obtain a donation of equal value from the Singapore government. For more information on the benefits of giving, click here.
