To provide teaching support to faculty members and academic support to students in Quantitative and Economics topics / modules.
Requirements Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in economics and/or statistics preferredMaster degree (in Economics / statistics) and aboveGood interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAble to work independentlyFamiliar with the STATA softwareFamiliar with the Excel software (advanced level preferred)Familiar with the APLIA software
Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist faculty members in the quantitative research methods and economics module classes in both teaching and administrative duties.Conduct weekly tutorial classes independent of the core faculty members.Conduct 1-to-1 tutorial sessions for students in need of academic support in the quantitative or economics modules.Vetting and grading of assignments and exams.Conduct the onsite Economics and Mathematics Preparatory Course (EMPC) for new students who have little or no background in Mathematics and/or Economics before the start of a new academic year. Conduct the online EMPC for new students who have little or no background in Mathematics and/or Economics before the start of a new academic year using Excel and APLIA.Attend classes to be familiar with the teachings and curriculum of the quantitative and/or economic classes.
