OMFIF is a dynamic non-lobbying think-tank in the financial sector, including central banks, sovereign funds, public pension plans, consultancies, hedge funds, regulatory bodies and banks. We currently have offices in both London and Singapore. OMFIF designs and delivers wide-ranging seminars and bespoke meetings together with flagship publications and tailored research reports distributed globally for and with its membership.
We are recruiting research assistants with acumen and get-up-and-go spirit to join the Research team on a short-term fixed placement basis. The role will primarily consist of research tasks including data collection and analysis, writing, assisting with surveys, and conducting literature reviews, and may also include operational tasks such as managing website content and general office administration.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter interested in the world economy with good common sense and used to working in a team. We are looking for university students / recent graduates with a background in business, economics, politics, finance or international relations. The right candidate will be equipped with sound research skills, an ability to prioritise and a strong sense of responsibility. Native-level spoken and written English (a second language would be an advantage), good all-round writing skills, attention to detail and a confident phone manner are essential.
▪ Conducting research on monetary and financial policy
▪ Researching new areas of development including pension funds, sovereign funds and others
▪ Updating and preparing material for the organisation’s website
Duration: From three months up to one year with regular intake throughout the year, with possibility of a full-time job for the right candidate.
Start date: Flexible start dates, ideally ASAP in 2018
Working hours: Monday – Friday 9.00-17.30.
