We believe in the ability of good design to increase the level of engagement of the audience. It is not just about aesthetic, but also effective communication, engagement and social impact. As a Communications Intern, you will contribute to increase the effectiveness of Wedu’s “storytelling” by identifying the best tactical and visual approach to communicate Wedu’s mission, vision and impact to a wide global audience. Your specific project will depend on where organizational priorities lie at the moment and what fits best with your skills, experiences and interests. In general, the role may involve:
Coordinating the documentation of mentee and mentor profiles and stories
Creating content for online and offline communications materials, including blogs and social media
Assisting in the management of Wedu’s social media channels and partner channels, as well as supporting the development of a comprehensive communications strategy
Developing and expanding community and/or blogger outreach efforts
Supporting the continuous improvement of Wedu’s website with a strong focus on effective communication via storytelling
Supporting the creation of short video content
Contributing to Wedu’s online content curation, and bringing beautiful design in everything we do!
Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing other tasks, as needed

Great graphic design skills and the ability to “think visual”
Excellent speaking and writing skills in English
Understanding of social media marketing for branding through Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, blogs and Digital PR
Proficiency in photo and video editing tools, as well as desktop publishing software, is a requirement; HTML is a plus (please note that you should already own the tools and software necessary to complete this work)
A strong commitment to develop emerging female leaders from across Asia
Self-starter with strong work ethic, team-working skills and positive attitude
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
We expect from you a minimum commitment of three months. This is a part-time, unpaid position (15- 20 hours per week), ideally based in Bangkok. You must also be authorized to work or stay in Bangkok for the entire duration of the internship. Wedu has flexible working arrangements – you are expected to deliver what is required, and working hours are largely dependent upon your time management and productivity.
