Case Studies
Singapore Case ACI is working with Prof Porter on a new Harvard case study on Singapore’s economic development spanning 1992 to 2006, which will be used in the teaching of the Microeconomics of Competitiveness course in Harvard and other leading universities.
Asia Cases The institute will seek opportunities to work with suitable partner countries in Asia to jointly develop country and cluster-based competitiveness case studies for use in the teaching of competitiveness in the region.
Research Projects
Indonesia SEZ Study ACI is currently working with the University of Indonesia on a joint project involving the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) comprising Batam, Bintan and Karimun. This project marks a milestone in the close ties between the two neighbouring ASEAN countries. An Agreement was signed between the two institutions for the joint SEZ study in August 2007 to kick-start the project.
Vietnam Study The institute is planning a similar competitiveness study in Vietnam and is exploring potential university partner for a joint study.
MOU with NIDA, Thailand An MOU was signed with the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Thailand, in November 2007 to promote research and collaborations between the two institutions.
